POETRY: SUMMER'S END

Cool breeze this morning
The some-time gust of autumn
Swishing through the trees

*

The stream is empty
It dried up early last month
Soon rain will fill it

*

The leaves are turning
Shades of yellow invading
Spinning round they fall

*     *     *

   Due to some bad joints, I've always had a hard time seeing to good side of changing seasons (except for Spring to Summer), but I've been trying to fix that. Fresh perspective and focusing on the good.
